Due to the increasing spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Europe and the recommendations of the Bavarian state government and the responsible health authorities, the Munich Exhibition Hall felt the need to postpone the Biochemical Exhibition 2020. This measure was taken in consultation with the Exhibitor Advisory Committee and is responsible for the health of exhibitors and visitors. The meeting will be postponed to October 19-22, 2020.
"Under certain circumstances, opening analytica at the end of March is not reasonable for our customers, especially from a medical and economic perspective," said Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, vice chairman of the Munich Exhibition Management Committee and responsible for analytica. "Now we are looking forward with confidence to a successful 2020 analysis show with the industry this fall."
The München exhibition hall worked closely with the Exhibitors Advisory Committee, and decided to postpone the exhibition taking into account the feedback received from the industry association SPECTARIS. The vast majority of interviewed exhibitors suggested deferring analytica. Siegbert Holtermüller, Chairman of the Exhibitor Analysis Advisory Committee and Olympus European Life Sciences Sales Director, emphasized: "Deferring the show to a new date in the fall is a way for manufacturers and visitors a A better business platform and the necessary measures to build on the success of many years.
